Women and Self-Nurturing
On Tuesday nights I attend a Women's Group and my sweet friend Elise babysits for me. One of the topics we have discussed a lot recently is self-nurturing. I think as wives and mothers we often neglect our own nurturing as we focus on the nurturing of our families. The group leader talked a lot about how journaling can be a very soothing activity. So I decided to do more journaling on both my blog and my personal journal as a self-nurturing activity. I really enjoy gathering literature bits or quotes for my journal and I enjoy creating lists or entries that may help Haley (and future children) know me better. So if you are wondering why some of my future blog posts are random, that is why. I am just adding literature bits and thoughts or lists that I enjoy for my journal.

Love this concept! I started a journal this year that's just for me/about me. I write a short entry every day and I start each one "Today I..." It's been really nice to stop and think about what I did that day that was just mine.
I love it... and I agree... We are on for Saturday!
I totally do the same thing in my journal. If Cam and I have had a particularly uneventful day I write about my favorite Christmas memories or the most fun birthday parties I had as a kid. Random stuff for my kids to learn about me.
