Ahhhh, Men and Their Listening Skills...or Lack Thereof

So funny story to illustrate how well men listen. Last night JR and I were in our bedroom getting ready for our date night out (with each other...just to clarify). And I was using a new root spray I bought on my hair. This is how the conversation went...
Brynn - "This spray stinks. It smells all flowery like an old lady perfume."
JR - "Honey, you are not getting old."
Well trained in his responses, I'll give him that...but the listening skills need some work.
Good thing he is so adorable. He is the sweetest husband a girl could have and he truly is my best friend. But once in awhile I just have to laugh because he is such a typical man.

Realtors and Rock Band

Our friends came down and spent the weekend to look at houses and play together.

We had such a great weekend with our friends, Bryson & Miranda and Jace & Lacie, from out of town. We were so excited they could come down and party with us. We played lots of Rock Band and had lots of laughs.

Oh yeah, now there’s trouble in River City.

Once again I was busy with something and turned around and could not see Haley. Then I found her. She had emptied our diaper cabinet out and crawled in herself. Some other crazy things we’ve discovered that she does…

Bites people and furniture
Pulls out all the DVDs
Eats shaving cream
Stands by herself (no steps taken yet)
Climbs anything she can (stairs, chairs, people)

I have always loved the fall season. But I don't miss the falling leaves, the crisp autumn air, or the knowledge that snow is coming. What I really love about fall is decorating for Halloween, going to the pumpkin patch, baking pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, candy corn, and cooler weather for biking. I believe that all these activites are enhanced when surrounded by palm trees and in the absense of snow. So everyone who starts to feel chilly where you live or begins to miss the summer, come on down south and visit...the fall sunshine is calling you.

Our Days In Dallas

So I guess I should explain our trip. Haley and I flew to Dallas, Texas to my sister, Natalie's, house. She just had a baby girl, Jordyn. She also has another girl, Cameryn, who is almost 3. My mom and her husband came down and my other sister, Tiffany, flew in from New Mexico. It was such a fun reunion week. We shopped, watched movies, played games, baked, and did crafts. It was so fun to get the cousins together and to see Natalie's house. We really enjoyed our time in Texas!
