Baby's First Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. We spent time with my family and played fun games and had a really nice dinner. We also spent the weekend up in Park City with the Bell family. JR got his Guitar Hero III and I got a nice winter coat. We got really spoiled by the Bells. Haley got the most darling books from her Grandma Tani and Grandpa Owen; we've already started reading them to her just because they are so cute. We had so much fun with Haley on her first Christmas. We have so many things to celebrate and to be thankful for this year!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

So it is finals week and I should be studying, but instead Haley and I went shopping. Among the fun girl things we got was this new headband. I just had to take a picture.

My Favorite Christmas Movie Quotes...Can you guess which fine family flick each quote comes from?

It's just like Santa's workshop! Except it smells like mushrooms... and everyone looks like they wanna hurt me...

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Did you have to borrow a reindeer to get down here? …He's an angry elf.

Well, you know everything worked out. I mean, I like Annie.
Well, good Jack, maybe we'll keep her.

I can't put my arms down!
Well... put your arms down when you get to school.

You like sugar, huh?
Is there sugar in syrup?
Yes.
Then YES!

Would it please the court
if i gave you your christmas card?
I probably won't see you again unless
I get arrested, which is very unlikely,
Since it's christmas eve and I'm going
to bed uncharacteristically early.

I don't know if I oughta go sailin' down no hill with nothin' between the ground and my brains but a piece of government plastic.
Do you really think it matters, Eddie?

Fra-gee-lay. That must be Italian.

Hey, Kids, I heard on the news that an airline pilot spotted Santa's sleigh on it's way in from New York City.
You serious, Clark?

The nerve of those Whos. Inviting me down there - and on such short notice. Even if I wanted to go my schedule wouldn't allow it. Four o'clock, wallow in self pity; 4:30, stare into the abyss; 5:00, solve world hunger, tell no one. 5:30, jazzercize. 6:30, dinner with me. I can't cancel that again. 7:00, wrestle with my self-loathing; I'm booked.

The vegetables were catered...so was dessert.
Thank you, Susan.
You're welcome.

First Sunday Dress

This was the first Sunday that we put Haley in an actual dress with tights and shoes for church. Usually it is so dang cold (our church is at 8:30am) that we just put her in something really warm. But today, I really wanted her to wear an actual Sunday dress. She looked so fancy. She is such a beautiful little thing. I just have too much fun dressing her up. Thanks to Lacie and her little princess, MeKiah, for so many darling clothes.

The Talented Ms. Tiffany

Get it? Like the Talented Mr. Ripley, but not all weird and crazy and stuff. Okay, anyway, this is the name plaque that my sister, Tif, made for Haley and we LOVE it. I just had to tell all you parents out there that may want to take a look at her site for Christmas.
And also for any of you, parents or not, she does fabulous Christmas decor. These are blocks that I own, that I adore. Her work is marvelous. Check it out and you can also order at tmatthewsfineart.blogspot.com

1. What is the best brand of mascara?
2. What is the greatest Christmas movie of all time?
3. What is your favorite family Christmas tradition/food?
4. Where is the best place to get your child's professional pictures taken?
5. What is the best Christmas CD?

My Christmas Socks

We went to the BYU Social Work Christmas party tonight and had a great time. Haley wore her Christmas socks from her Aunt Tif. We just had to get a picture. They are so darling!

Say Cheese!

Haley's first smile caught on film. It could be happiness...It could be gas...who knows? But she sure is the cutest thing we've ever seen!

Long Needed Date Night

JR and I had a wonderful date night for his birthday with his famiy and our friends, Bryson and Miranda. It was really nice to have a night out without baby. Thanks, Grandma for tending.

My Sleepy Babies

JR took the baby and let me sleep for a few hours today because I have been so exhausted. When I woke up and walked into our living room, this is what I saw. How sweet, huh?

We still know how to party!

Haley's Television

When JR bought his huge television he kept telling me that it was for Haley. What a joke, right? But it really is one of her favorite things. I don't know what she can see on it, but she'll stare at it forever. It is so funny.
