YOU HAD ME AT "ALOHA"!

The view from our condo balcony. Amazing, right?

Black Sand Beach was incredible!

Hiking to the Seven Sacred Pools on the Road to Hana.

We loved going to a Luau.

We took a boat to this tiny island and snorkeled all morning.

Haley's Prayer

Haley opted that I say the prayer tonight when she went to bed. This always means that I say it and she "helps" me remember things that must be said. So tonight these were her whispered, yet very insistent, suggestions...
Haley: And Mom, bless that the foolish man won't build his house on the sand.
Me: Okay, and please bless that the foolish man won't build his house upon the sand.
Haley: And Mom, bless that our house will be built on a rock.
Me (totally giggling at this point): Please bless that our house will be built upon The Rock of Jesus Christ.
Haley: No Mom, you don't say Jesus Christ til the end.
Now I am full out laughing.
Haley: And bless that Gizzy (her grandma's dog who just passed away) will get better and won't die.
Me: But Gizzy already did die, Sweetie.
Haley: Well, bless that Grandma will get a new dog, who won't die, and she will name Gizzy.
Me: And bless that Gizzy is happy in Doggy-Heaven and that if Grandma wants to she can get a new dog.
Haley: Who won't die and she will name Gizzy.
Me: Who won't die and she will name Gizzy.

AMEN!!

LOVE YOU, LACIE

Words cannot express how much I love you and how hard it will be to continue without you here. I miss you so much it hurts. But for you and for your children and my children, whom you loved, I will keep going. And I will tell them all about you. You are the strongest person I know, the most maternal person I've ever met, and the best friend I have ever had. You are fiercely loyal, generous to a fault, funny as hell, and wildly spontaneous. We had so many plans...so until we meet again and can pick up where we left off, God hold you while you hold all of us left behind.

This and That

Nothing new at our house. Oh, except for Haley's bike, which she is constantly on. We have just been busy busy busy with lots of visitors and activities. Just a few pictures of the adorables...
Carson loves having necklaces on. He goes into the playroom everyday and finds them and puts them on. Then he wears them all day. He is hilarious and quite unique. This would make JR a bit nervous if Carson wasn't also obsessed with basketball and trucks. :) I sure love my two boys.
Matching milk mustaches...say that 10 times fast.
Our Valentines Day Card to all our lovies!
My sweet adorable girl! I am so proud of her getting so big and independent. She is a great sister, a wonderful helper, and an inquisitive little learner. What a doll!
