J.R. Got His BOY!!!

It's a boy!! We could not be more excited. Haley really needs a boy because she is such a spit fire and sort of a bully, so I really hope this little fella will put her in her place. Any boy name suggestions would be awesome, by the way, since we are no where near liking any names.

Wow, What a Month!

We have been going, going, going this summer. I thought I would update and share some of our fun memories. First, I went up to Salt Lake to attend my dear friend, Elise's, wedding. It was incredible!

Then I had to race home to attend our ward's Youth Conference in Manti and then I headed off into the mountains for Girls Camp. Tons of outdoor fun with cute girls and leaders that I love.


We have also had my sister, Natalie, and her kiddos stay with us. My brother and mom came down from Salt Lake to spend time with her too, so we had quite a house full. It was super fun and now I miss them all. Then we spent time visiting family over 4th of July and going camping on Tabiona Mountain with the Bells.


Then we took Haley to Lagoon for Harmon's Lagoon day and met up with Lacie and her fam, which was an absolute blast!! Haley loved every ride and kept saying, "Again!" when the ride was over. Hysterical!

So far, it has been an incredibly fun-filled summer!!
As for whether we are having a boy or a girl...we find out on Tuesday, so I'll keep you posted.

Why I am Convinced this Baby is a Boy

We do not officially find out the sex of our baby until July 1st, but I am convinced it is a boy... a few reasons why:

With Haley all I ever craved was chocolate and fruit - very much GIRL foods.
With this baby all I ever want is buffalo wings, cheese fries, and nachos - very much SUPERBOWL foods. Totally a boy.

Also, I keep having dreams that I get called to scouts and I have a room full of young scouts looking at me expectantly and I have NO IDEA what to do with them. I think it is Heavenly Father's way of letting me know I am gonna be outa my comfort zone soon.

Last, but not least, I think Haley is preparing for a brother.

So the doctor said I need to eat more foods containing Vitamin B's. Oats was one of his suggestions. So I made No-Bake Cookies. I am sure oats drenched in sugar, cocoa, and butter is what he meant, RIGHT?

Yes, I am Pregnant

You may have wondered in my Florida pictures why I have abandoned wearing a two peice that shows my tummy. I wish it was just due to modesty and I still had a kick-A six-pack, but I am afraid that is not the case. My little pooch, although not attractive to others, is thrilling to us as we are 12 weeks pregnant. We are so excited to continue adding to our little family. We are due at the end of November, so we will most likely be staying home for Thanksgiving this year. :)

Thank You for Fighting for the Sanctity of Marriage

I don't know if any of you are pageant watchers, but I must just give major props to Carrie Prejean, Miss California. During the Miss USA pageant tonight when asked whether all states should legalize gay marriage, she said that she believes marriage is between a man and a woman. This, she stated, was how she was raised and how she thinks the country still believes. GO MISS CALIFORNIA!!! How brave and impressive. The judge who asked her was visibly irritated and disappointed with her answer. I say, she is an awesome example of standing up for what is right.

My Little Egg Hunter

We had a really fun Easter Egg Hunt with my Mom's Group. Haley only sort of understood the concept, but she sure enjoyed eating the candy out of the eggs. Now she thinks candy is inside every round thing, so she keeps bringing me balls and toys and begging me to open them. She is not really understanding my explainations. She's sure a kick!
